Directions to choose the right Hourband – type and size – for your meds.

 1.  FIRST – choose which Hourband you need. 

a.  DAILY – choose the daily version if you have a pill you take only once/day.

b.  HOURLY – choose the hourly version if you have a pill you take more than 1 time/day.

c.  You can use both together if that is helpful.

2.  SECOND – choose which size Hourband you need. (Add photo from bag insert back page – maybe whole back page)
98% of all amber prescription bottles come in 3 diameter sizes (1.25”, 1.5” or 1.875”) some are taller, but there are only 3 diameters.

a.  Over 50% of all prescriptions come in the small pill bottle (13 or 16 dram bottles)

i.  CHOOSE THE SMALL HOURBAND FOR THESE BOTTLES

ii.  Most 13 dram and 16 dram pill bottles are the same diameter – only one is taller than the other.

iii.  The base is 1.25” in diameter

iv.  The base is about the same size of a ‘D’ battery

v.  On the bottom, the dram size is printed – either 13dr or 16dr.

b.  The next most common prescription bottle is the medium bottle (20dram or 30 dram).

i.  CHOOSE THE MEDIUM HOURBAND FOR THESE BOTTLES

ii.  Most 20 dram and 30 dram pill bottles are the same diameter – only one is taller than the other.

iii.  The base is 1.5” in diameter

iv.  On the bottom, the dram size is printed – either 20dr or 30dr.

c.  The least common prescription bottle is the large bottle (40 dram and 60 dram).

i.  CHOOSE THE LARGE HOURBAND FOR THESE BOTTLES

ii.  Most 40 dram and 60 dram pill bottles are the same diameter – only one is taller than the other.

iii.  The base (bottom) is 1.875” in diameter

iv.  On the bottom, the dram size is printed – either 40dr or 60dr.
